The company is hiring a Sales Director - Distributors for a 12-month parental leave cover within the sales team. This opportunity suits someone who enjoys structured forecasting, commercial planning and working for a brand that people genuinely value.

Role Summary

In this position, you will lead distributor sales strategy across global markets, manage commercial performance and help strengthen distributor relationships. The role combines planning, forecasting, business review leadership and cross-regional sales support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver annual sales plans for distributor markets worldwide, with full ownership of revenue and margin performance.
  • Build productive distributor relationships while managing contracts, compliance requirements and commercial terms.
  • Contribute forecasting input to improve demand planning accuracy.
  • Guide and support a strong distributor sales team across multiple regions.
  • Spot opportunities for expansion into new markets, channels and geographies, and help shape plans to pursue them.
  • Run regular distributor business reviews to measure results and align on shared objectives.
  • Promote the use of digital B2B tools to improve sales efficiency.
  • Keep track of inventory and coordinate promotions or clearance actions when required.
  • Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts for senior leadership on a regular basis.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should bring senior-level sales experience, ideally in the outdoor or branded lifestyle sector, along with a strong grasp of retail dynamics and the needs of distributors and internal stakeholders. The role also calls for capability in sales planning, reporting, merchandise planning, category management, budgeting, buying and trend analysis. Experience leading teams in a changing, fast-paced environment is important, and knowledge of product design and development concepts would be an advantage.

Contract Notes

This is a fixed 12-month parental leave contract, created to cover an existing team member during their leave period. The company states clearly that the role is temporary for that reason and will be managed transparently throughout the contract.
