A well-established engineering company known for its technical capability is hiring an experienced Sales Director to guide the commercial side of the business through a period of growth and investment. Reporting to the Managing Director, this senior leadership position carries end-to-end ownership of sales strategy, revenue results, customer development, and the performance of the sales team.

What you will do
- Create and execute the company’s sales and wider business growth plan.
- Manage, coach, and develop a strong-performing sales team.
- Increase revenue through both new customer wins and growth within key accounts.
- Handle forecasting, pipeline oversight, budgeting, and sales performance reporting.
- Spot and pursue new opportunities in the engineering market.
- Develop trusted relationships with major clients, stakeholders, and strategic partners.
- Put effective sales processes, KPIs, and commercial controls in place.
- Partner with senior leaders to deliver long-term business goals.
Requirements
- Substantial senior sales leadership experience in engineering, manufacturing, industrial, or technical environments.
- Clear evidence of growing revenue and leading sales teams successfully.
- Background in complex, solution-led sales processes.
- Strong commercial judgement, with solid negotiation and influencing ability.
- Comfortable presenting and operating with board members and senior stakeholders.
- A strategic thinker who also takes a practical, hands-on approach.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-management skills.
