About The Opportunity
Driscoll's is seeking a Sales Coordinator in the United Arab Emirates to provide crucial support to the commercial team and ensure exceptional customer service. This role operates within a dynamic, fast-paced setting, requiring close collaboration with Account Managers and various departments to oversee daily operations, manage customer orders, and align supply chains. The position demands adaptability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage shifting priorities driven by product availability and customer demand.
Responsibilities
The Sales Coordinator will manage daily commercial activities, including processing customer orders, liaising with internal teams, and facilitating clear communication across the supply chain. A key focus will be on delivering outstanding customer service while enabling the business to respond effectively to market dynamics and supply fluctuations.
Order Management
- Process and input customer orders accurately into Driscoll's systems, following directives from Account Managers, Sales Leadership, and Supply Chain Planning.
- Assist customers with their order management needs, setting realistic expectations for volumes, pricing, and product availability.
- Monitor supply and demand levels, making necessary order adjustments based on current inventory.
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and adjustments.
- Identify and follow up on potential claims or order-related issues proactively.
- Support Account Managers with reporting and analysis related to supply chain alignment and period-end closures.
Customer Service
- Address customer inquiries via phone and email concerning order status, product availability, shipping, and estimated delivery times.
- Coordinate with customers and internal departments for product rerouting to alternative locations.
- Ensure prompt follow-up on all customer queries and operational requests.
- Reconcile discrepancies between quotations, customer portals, pricing agreements, and official reports.
- Manage customer claims through Driscoll's established internal procedures.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by participating in new system testing and providing feedback on process enhancements.
- Work collaboratively with departments such as Supply Chain, Transportation, Credit & Collections, and Operations to streamline workflows.
- Represent Driscoll's professionally and ethically in all interactions with customers, suppliers, growers, and colleagues.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for an organized, communicative, and proactive individual with a strong customer focus, capable of thriving in a high-velocity environment. The ideal candidate can juggle multiple priorities while maintaining meticulous accuracy.
Requirements
- Proven experience in order management, including researching and reconciling purchase orders across various platforms.
- Familiarity with ERP systems like Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with formulas, filtering, sorting, and pivot tables.
- Ability to interpret inventory and availability data to inform decision-making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- A customer-centric approach characterized by empathy, patience, and effective problem-solving.
- Skill in proactively identifying issues and engaging the appropriate stakeholders.
- Comfort and professionalism in handling difficult conversations and complex situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Prior experience in perishables, logistics, or operations is highly beneficial.
- Experience working in a fast-paced operational setting.
- Possession of a valid passport and willingness to travel internationally as needed.
