About the brand

Balenciaga was founded in 1917 by Spanish designer Cristóbal Balenciaga and later established in Paris in 1937. The house became known for reshaping modern couture through innovative ideas in silhouette and construction.

Today, the brand continues to build on that legacy through forward-looking collections across women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, accessories, and objets d’art. Its work across digital innovation, material research, and social responsibility keeps it positioned at the cutting edge of contemporary luxury.

In 2021, the house presented its 50th Couture collection, the first since the founder’s retirement in 1968, reaffirming its approach to modern elegance. From October 2015 to July 2025, Demna led both men’s and women’s collections as Artistic Director. In July 2025, Pierpaolo Piccioli became Creative Director of Balenciaga.

Role overview

The Sales Associate plays an important part in the team by helping deliver strong store results and by bringing the Balenciaga experience to every client. This role also supports teammates and management while representing the brand’s values and standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to sales performance by building and keeping an accurate, well-maintained client base.
  • Deliver a consistently high standard of Balenciaga service so that clients remain satisfied.
  • Create genuine, lasting client relationships, from the first greeting through after-sales support.
  • Show professionalism in all interactions, with strong communication and effective teamwork.
  • Coordinate closely with the stock team to make sure products are available and client needs are met.
  • Share ongoing feedback on customer activity and market movements.
  • Keep displays and store areas organised and aligned with visual merchandising standards.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should have experience in a similar position, or in a role where transferable skills have been developed. Success in this job requires the ability to perform well in a busy environment, along with a sharp eye for detail. A genuine feel for products and a strong understanding of fashion and market trends are important.

You should be comfortable working both as part of a team and on your own. Strong administrative and digital capabilities are expected, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in English is required.
