Job description

Role overview

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated practitioner to take on a secondment or fixed-term Safeguarding Lead position within the Norfolk Safeguarding Team. The post focuses on providing safeguarding advice, training, and supervision to Trust colleagues.

Key working relationships

You will contribute as part of the locality leadership group, support the health function within the Norfolk Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), and work alongside the wider safeguarding children’s team across the Trust’s specialist children’s services.

What the role involves

The successful candidate will be based in the North locality, but the job requires flexibility and regular travel across Norfolk. Travel will be undertaken independently on a daily basis and will cover both rural and urban areas. Because travel arrangements may change at short notice and public transport is limited across the wider geography, you must have a full, current driving licence and access to your own transport. Any reasonable adjustment related to disability will be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010.

Experience needed

Previous experience and knowledge in children’s safeguarding are essential for this position.

Why join us

We are a high-performing community healthcare organisation rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission. Our staff are central to that success, and we are committed to quality, innovation, staff engagement, and professional development. If you are enthusiastic about improving safeguarding outcomes for children, young people, and families, we would welcome your application.
