Job Description

The Room Attendant is crucial in maintaining the impeccable standards of Faena's luxury accommodations. This role involves the thorough cleaning and upkeep of guest rooms, suites, and designated public areas, directly impacting the guest experience by ensuring every space is immaculate, well-equipped, and inviting. Room Attendants are key to upholding Faena New York's visual identity and esteemed reputation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute cleaning of guest rooms and suites according to established procedures and luxury standards.
• Adhere strictly to safety regulations, fire codes, and departmental policies.
• Utilize property management systems (PMS) or relevant applications for assignment updates and other computerized tasks.
• Comply with all Work Rules and Standards of Conduct outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Fulfill assigned tasks from the Housekeeping Department using necessary keys, equipment, and supplies.
• Dispose of all waste and recyclable materials in designated bins within the service areas.
• Offer courteous and friendly assistance to all guests.
• Maintain a professional appearance with a clean uniform and proper grooming.
• Respond effectively to any hotel emergency or safety situation.
• Undertake additional tasks or projects as directed by hotel management and staff.
• Replenish guest amenities such as toiletries and stationery as needed.
• Prepare guest rooms for evening turndown service.
• Clean and maintain all hotel terraces.
• Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of assigned occupied, turndown, and check-out rooms.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the main guest entrance and adjacent plaza areas, including debris removal.
• Fulfill any additional housekeeping-related requests.
• Report to work punctually and adhere to the schedule, notifying supervisors in advance of any absence as per Faena policy.
• Observe meal break policies and proper payroll procedures.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of experience in luxury hotel housekeeping is preferred.
• Proficiency in proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols is required.
• Capability to work efficiently and autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Must possess a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is advantageous.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Ability to perform various physical movements throughout the work areas.
• Capacity to navigate safely in confined or uneven spaces.
• Maintain constant activity and movement throughout the shift; prolonged sitting at a desk or computer work is not typical for this role.
• Medium Work: Occasionally exert up to 40 pounds of force, frequently exert up to 20 pounds of force, and constantly exert up to 10 pounds of force. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
