Role Overview
The Revenue Manager will own the hotel’s revenue strategy and work to improve overall performance through strong pricing, inventory, and distribution control. The position requires close partnership with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Food & Beverage, and Operations to support commercial goals in line with Hyatt’s approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement revenue plans aimed at improving ADR, occupancy, and RevPAR.
- Study demand patterns, competitor activity, and local market conditions in Makkah.
- Oversee forecasting on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, and share actionable insights with leadership.
- Set pricing, manage inventory, and guide distribution across all sales channels.
- Ensure all revenue practices follow Hyatt standards and brand expectations.
- Work with Sales and Marketing to improve segment mix and promotional outcomes.
- Track OTA results, direct booking performance, and rate parity compliance.
- Run regular revenue meetings with relevant stakeholders.
- Spot revenue opportunities during major peak periods such as Ramadan, Hajj, and the high Umrah season.
- Support the annual business plan and broader business strategy.
- Deliver revenue updates and strategic recommendations to owners and regional teams.
- Assist the Food & Beverage team with budget and forecast preparation.
- Help meet hotel revenue targets and complete month-end reviews, forecasts, and market share analyses.
- Contribute to revenue management initiatives by helping develop, test, and improve processes while sharing learnings and insights.
- Provide systems support, tools, and strategic direction to help forecast future RevPAR performance for annual budgets, business plans, and periodic projections, including historical context and forward-looking risks and opportunities.
- Take responsibility for total revenue management, covering room revenue as well as the planning and tracking of Food & Beverage sales.
Mandatory Requirements
- Background in the Makkah hospitality market is required.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Revenue Manager in a hotel setting.
- Candidates must have held the same position for the last 5 years in the Makkah market.
- Strong familiarity with seasonal demand cycles in Makkah, including Hajj, Umrah, and Ramadan.
- Hands-on experience with RMS, PMS, and channel distribution platforms.
- Excellent analytical ability and advanced Excel skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a similar field is preferred.
- Experience with international luxury or upscale hotel brands is an advantage.
- Exposure to pre-opening projects or other high-demand markets is beneficial.
