Role overview
Avoca Rathcoole is hiring a dependable full-time Retail Team Lead to join the leadership team on a permanent basis. The position focuses on supporting the store and/or café manager with the smooth day-to-day running of the department, including opening and closing responsibilities and broader operational support.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out opening and/or closing procedures for the department as directed by the manager.
- Manage cash handling and complete cash reconciliation accurately.
- Help coordinate daily employee break schedules.
- Respond to customer queries and handle complaints in a professional manner.
- Support store ordering processes.
- Provide general assistance to the management team across a range of tasks.
- Take on additional duties as needed.
Candidate profile
The preferred candidate will have prior experience in retail or the food sector and will have demonstrated initiative and a willingness to take on responsibility. Experience leading a team, along with merchandising exposure in a retail environment, will be an advantage.
Required experience and capabilities
- A strong history of taking ownership and stepping up when needed.
- Very good customer service ability.
- Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills.
- A dependable and adaptable approach to work.
- Previous experience in a similar position is beneficial.
- Experience supervising or managing a team.
