Role summary

PHOENIX Retail, LLC operates the Express and Bonobos brands across the globe. Express is a multichannel apparel label built around a modern, confident, effortless style for work, everyday wear, and special occasions. Bonobos is recognized for exceptional fit and a personalized retail approach. The brands are available through more than 400 Express retail and outlet locations, 50 Bonobos Guideshops, and online channels.

For this position, the store location is Tulare Outlets in Tulare, California.

What this role involves

Express is looking for a Retail Sales Associate to support the in-store customer experience and help keep the store running smoothly. The role includes assisting shoppers, handling routine floor tasks, and maintaining an organized, welcoming store environment.

• Keep the sales floor, checkout area, fitting rooms, and stockroom tidy, safe, and easy for customers to shop.
• Follow company standards and procedures to help protect associates and customers.
• Support product launch updates and store changes in line with standard operating procedures.
• Deliver a strong customer experience from greeting through checkout.
• Process purchases accurately and efficiently to reduce wait times.
• Handle customer concerns promptly, resolve issues where possible, or escalate them to store management when needed.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs by explaining the advantages and encouraging participation.
• Take on additional duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Experience and qualifications

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with 0 to 2 years of relevant experience. A minimum of 6 months of experience is referenced for this role.

• Comfortable using retail technology such as iPads and registers.
• Able to meet schedule requirements, including nights, weekends, and non-business hours.
• Must be able to satisfy the physical demands of the position.

Skills and attributes

• Prior retail background is preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teammates and store leadership.

Compensation and benefits

The advertised pay range is $16.50 to $22.10 per hour. Actual pay will depend on factors such as work location, education, relevant skills, and experience.
