About the Role

DIME Beauty Co is hiring a Retail Operations & Demand Planning Manager to help scale its retail business. This position centers on keeping retail operations running smoothly, building accurate demand forecasts, managing item setup and maintenance for retailers, and coordinating execution across sales, supply chain, operations, and marketing.

The right person will be comfortable in a fast-moving environment, understand specialty retail and beauty operations, and be able to combine data-driven planning with strong day-to-day execution. Prior exposure to retailers such as Ulta Beauty is strongly preferred.

Location

This role follows a hybrid setup, with a mix of work from home and office time in either Manhattan Beach, California, or Draper, Utah.

Compensation

The expected salary range is $90,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on both location and relevant experience.

Demand Planning & Inventory Management

  • Take ownership of demand forecasts and inventory planning for major retail accounts.
  • Review sell-in, sell-through, weeks of supply, and inventory movement to guide growth decisions.
  • Work closely with supply chain and operations partners to strengthen forecast accuracy and overall inventory health.
  • Keep track of retailer inventory levels and flag emerging risks or upside opportunities early.
  • Assist with launch, promotional, and replenishment forecasting.

Retail Operations

  • Oversee operational timelines and workflows for launches, transitions, and ongoing retailer maintenance.
  • Prepare and submit retailer forms, documents, and portal requests accurately and within deadlines.
  • Keep retailer calendars and operational trackers current and organized.
  • Coordinate with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure end-to-end execution.

PIM & Item Setup

  • Handle retailer item setup and maintenance, including PIM submissions and product data management.
  • Verify that SKU details, UPCs, product attributes, imagery, pricing, dimensions, and assortment information are correct.
  • Manage updates and ongoing maintenance for retailer-specific item requirements.
  • Support product launches and transitions alongside internal and external stakeholders.

Chargebacks & Compliance

  • Oversee the handling of chargebacks, deductions, and compliance-related issues from retailers.
  • Investigate the underlying causes and work with internal teams to reduce repeat issues.
  • Ensure operational practices align with retailer routing guides and other requirements.
  • Monitor deductions and provide reporting along with process-improvement recommendations.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Build and maintain dashboards and trackers for operational reporting.
  • Share regular insights and recommendations on inventory, forecasting, and retail performance.
  • Contribute to monthly business reviews and broader retail planning efforts.

Qualifications

  • 4–7+ years of experience in retail operations, demand planning, supply chain, or sales operations.
  • Background supporting national retail accounts, ideally in beauty, CPG, or specialty retail.
  • Solid understanding of retail operational processes, including item setup, forecasting, and compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with PIM systems and retailer portals; Ulta experience is especially valuable.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities and strong analytical thinking.
  • Well-developed project management and organizational skills.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively across functions.
  • Comfort working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience handling Ulta Beauty operational workflows, portals, and chargebacks.
  • Exposure to forecasting tools or ERP systems.
  • Beauty industry experience is highly desirable.

Success in This Role

  • Forecasts that are accurate, useful, and action-oriented.
  • Retail launches and item setups that happen smoothly and on time.
  • Lower chargebacks and fewer operational mistakes.
  • Strong communication and execution across teams.
  • Better visibility into retail operations and improved efficiency across the business.
