Checkers & Rally’s Drive-In Restaurants is hiring a Restaurant General Manager in Gainesville, FL to lead overall store performance. In this role, you will be accountable for delivering the restaurant plan, driving sales and profit outcomes, and ensuring strong service for both guests and team members. The goal is to keep the restaurant as the top choice for customers and employees alike.

Key duties

  • Manage the full profit-and-loss picture to stay on track with sales and profitability targets.
  • Review business data regularly, then create and carry out action plans that improve revenue, margins, service levels, and operating efficiency.
  • Identify staffing requirements and recruit suitable candidates for the right roles.
  • Schedule and staff shifts appropriately so operations run smoothly and guests remain satisfied.
  • Train team members and managers on restaurant operations, company policies and procedures, and guest service expectations.
  • Address guest complaints and respond to policy or procedure breaches when they arise.
  • Give employees consistent feedback and coaching to help improve performance.
  • Maintain a restaurant environment that is safe, clean, and enjoyable for both employees and guests.

Eligibility and qualifications

Applicants should ideally have a high school diploma or GED, and food safety certification is preferred. The role calls for more than 2 years of restaurant management experience, ideally in quick service restaurants. Candidates should have basic math ability, familiarity with Microsoft Office and general systems, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the flexibility to work extended hours and varied schedules.
