Role overview
A respected and long-standing legal practice in Leicester is looking to add an experienced Residential Conveyancer to its expanding property department. This position offers the chance to work in a supportive, team-oriented setting while handling residential property matters from the initial instruction stage through completion and the required post-completion steps. What you will do
- Move residential conveyancing files forward through each stage of the transaction with support from colleagues in the property team.
- Examine title papers, searches and mortgage offers, and raise enquiries on purchase files where needed.
- Draft client updates and reports, prepare completion paperwork and submit SDLT returns.
- Communicate with clients, lenders, estate agents, solicitors and other relevant parties during the progress of each matter.
- Support completion and post-completion work while keeping case records accurate and up to date.
Experience and skills needed
- Hands-on experience running an independent residential conveyancing caseload in a law firm or conveyancing setting.
- Good working knowledge of the residential conveyancing process and associated procedures.
- Strong planning and organisation skills, with the ability to handle several matters and deadlines at once.
- Confident communication skills and a client-first mindset.
- Ability to contribute effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Employment details
This is a full-time position based onsite in Leicester, Leicestershire. Working days are Monday to Friday. The salary is approximately £35,000 to £42,000 per year, depending on experience.
