Job description

Role overview

The role is based in Lee Point, Cork (IE-Cork) and involves leading operations at a purpose-built student housing community with 420 beds. This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, with a salary of €44,990.40 per year.

Yugo operates student accommodation worldwide with a focus on people, sustainability, and purpose. The company is seeking an experienced Residence Manager who can help shape a positive student living experience while supporting the wider team across its global network.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support the team so the residence runs efficiently and the student environment stays well managed.
  • Take ownership of the budget, P&L, and overall financial results of the property.
  • Control operating costs and work to improve profitability across the residence.
  • Drive occupancy by following up on sales leads and securing both short-term and long-term bookings.
  • Maintain high presentation standards through regular inspections and strong team coordination.
  • Handle complaints professionally and ensure students receive a high level of customer service.
  • Apply strong knowledge of safety, security, compliance, and building operations to keep the site secure and compliant.
  • Build and maintain relationships with universities, suppliers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Meet health and safety obligations, including duties connected to Section 7 of the Health and Safety at Work Etc. Act 1974.
  • Act as the responsible person for water hygiene, oversee site water system compliance, support remedial actions and testing after Legionella risk assessments, and ensure alignment with the Water Hygiene Management Plan.

Requirements

  • Previous experience managing a residence in hospitality, hotels, or ideally student accommodation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with the confidence to build lasting professional relationships.
  • Experience in a fast-moving, target-focused environment with strong exposure to sales and marketing.
