Job description
About the Role
Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Research Support Officer to join the SATURN (Stimulant medication for ADHD and Tics – Understanding Response versus Non-stimulants) trial. This randomized trial, led by Professor Chris Hollis at the University of Nottingham, aims to determine the effectiveness of stimulant versus non-stimulant medication for children and young people experiencing both ADHD and tics. The trial will be conducted within child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) and pediatric settings, involving children/young people with ADHD and tics, and their parents/carers.
The successful candidate will be based in Nottingham, collaborating with local clinical teams and the University of Nottingham, including the Nottingham Clinical Trials Unit (NCTU) and Institute of Mental Health (IMH). Responsibilities include participant recruitment and outcome assessment for the SATURN trial. The role involves a split between the IMH and NCTU, with potential for some remote work, though final arrangements will be confirmed upon appointment.
