Role Overview

This clinical laboratory position is for a Research Officer who will contribute to ultra-high-throughput sequencing work, including initiatives in precision medicine and population genomics. The role suits someone with a broad molecular biology background and an interest in applying advanced technologies for wider community impact.

Work Location

The role is based in Singapore, at Neuros.

Key Duties

The selected candidate will be trained on ultra-high-throughput next-generation sequencing workflows and will support the end-to-end process from sample quality checks through to sequencing and results reporting. The role also involves troubleshooting, documentation, collaboration with bioinformatics colleagues, equipment upkeep, and team support.

Qualifications and Attributes

Applicants should either hold a degree in Life Sciences or a closely related discipline, or a diploma in Life Sciences or a related field with at least 1 year of relevant work experience. Strong attention to detail is essential. Prior exposure to NGS platforms is an advantage. Good communication and interpersonal abilities are important, along with a proactive, positive mindset, willingness to learn, and the ability to work well in a team. Comfort with shift work is considered a plus.
