Job description
Role overview
Singapore National Eye Centre is seeking a Research Fellow to contribute to research projects within a healthcare and academic setting in Singapore. The role supports investigators and consultants in carrying out studies, including work involving human participants, while operating under the guidance of principal investigators and collaborators.
What you will do
- Carry out research activities and support the smooth delivery of assigned projects.
- Work closely with investigators, consultants, principal investigators, and collaborators to complete study objectives.
- Conduct work that may include the examination of human subjects, where applicable.
- Prepare research results for publication in respected international journals and other credible outlets.
- Present findings and papers at academic and professional conferences to help raise the department’s external profile.
- Follow all health and safety requirements in every area of work.
- Operate independently in a fast-changing environment.
- Take on additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- A PhD in Medicine, Epidemiology, Life Sciences, or another closely related field is required.
- Strong scientific writing ability, including experience with manuscripts and grant proposals.
- Prior exposure to healthcare settings or a medical background is preferred.
- Good teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.
