Role overview

The Research Consultant will support the Research Department by identifying strong talent for client searches through market intelligence, talent mapping, and candidate evaluation. This position works closely with recruiting and account management teams to strengthen search strategy, share hiring insights, and support client engagements.

Core responsibilities

  • Create and carry out sourcing plans for clients across a wide mix of industries and roles.
  • Partner with internal teams to build candidate pipelines aligned to search requirements.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to refine search criteria.
  • Use Boolean search techniques to find talent in internal and external databases.
  • Lead research projects covering competitor activity, salary benchmarking, and location-based market data.
  • Draft and maintain discreet external job postings.
  • Review applicants’ background, skills, and capabilities to determine role fit.
  • Prepare sourcing updates and reports for internal and external audiences as needed.
  • Support the firm’s reputation as an attractive place to work.
  • Meet productivity targets tied to candidate sourcing volume, interviews scheduled, and placements.

Required qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Strong ability to build relationships with internal clients and external stakeholders.
  • Experience using the MS Office suite.
  • Good organization skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Clear communication skills, including the ability to connect effectively over phone and video.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a can-do attitude.
  • Active listening skills to understand client needs accurately.
