Job description
Role overview
This position supports the control and monitoring of collateral on bilateral repo and triparty repo activity. The role is centered on ensuring exposures are properly covered, margin activity is processed accurately, and exceptions are resolved quickly.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate repo margin calls for RBC’s North America entities and help clear breaks caused by trade flow issues.
- Watch exposures and issue margin calls for both single-entity margin counterparties and central-book counterparties.
- Monitor interest and arrange monthly payments for all margin counterparties.
- Verify that all triparty deals remain covered and keep the Front Office updated on any surplus or deficit.
- Follow intraday triparty liquidity throughout the day to confirm coverage for unwind activity and flag any funding shortfalls when needed.
- Work through margin disputes with support from the repo Front Office, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Escalate all outstanding margin disputes above 1MM to the Front Office and Credit Risk team.
- Maintain daily reporting on repo margin call activity, including call count, call value, disputes, and fails.
- Handle and validate incoming audit confirmation requests related to repo margin.
- Offer vacation and back-up support for other team members when required.
What you need to bring
