This opportunity is for a creative social media specialist who enjoys working with communities and helping a premium pet brand strengthen long-term relationships with its audience. The focus will be on growing and refining the brand’s Instagram and TikTok presence for a Manhattan-based dog business, with an emphasis on keeping current clients engaged and making them feel part of a welcoming, exclusive community.
The brand voice should feel like approachable luxury: polished and upscale, yet warm, inclusive, and friendly. The aim is to build a digital clubhouse that gives dog owners a sense of pride and belonging. The first engagement is a paid 30-day trial, with the possibility of continuing into a longer-term partnership.
Deliverables
- Produce and edit 15 strong video posts each month that fit the brand’s refined but approachable style.
- Publish three story updates every day to keep the community active and engaged.
- Prepare content for weekly review sessions and incorporate feedback as needed.
- Handle day-to-day community engagement by replying to comments and direct messages in a way that builds trust and loyalty.
- Work with supplied brand assets to maintain a consistent look and stay aligned with the visual identity.
Requirements
- Background in managing social media for local businesses or premium/luxury brands, especially where retention and community-building are key goals.
- Solid video editing ability and a strong sense of visual storytelling.
- Good working knowledge of Instagram and TikTok practices, including scheduling, engagement tactics, and performance analysis.
- Clear written communication and the ability to naturally reflect a warm, inclusive brand personality.
- Comfort working independently, meeting deadlines, and adjusting work based on feedback.
- Familiarity with New York City culture and the local pet scene is helpful.
