Role overview

We are hiring a meticulous Remote Data Entry Specialist to support a distributed team. This is a fully remote role with flexible scheduling, and you can work from any location within your region. The position focuses on keeping records accurate, processing information efficiently, and preserving data consistency across different systems and digital tools.

In this role, you will contribute to day-to-day business operations by entering, checking, and structuring data that is used by multiple departments. Your accuracy, discipline, and ability to work independently will help keep records dependable and easy to access. The work is well suited to someone who enjoys organized tasks, routine processes, and high-precision output.

Key responsibilities

  • Input large sets of information into internal databases, spreadsheets, and business systems.
  • Convert data from digital files and document sources into usable records.
  • Refresh existing entries so information stays current and correct.
  • Keep digital files and folders well organized for quick retrieval.
  • Check submitted data for accuracy before it is finalized.
  • Spot and resolve mismatches or errors found in datasets.
  • Carry out regular quality checks to help maintain reliable records.
  • Follow required formatting and documentation standards.
  • Process customer details, inventory records, financial entries, and administrative documents.
  • Use spreadsheets, CRM tools, and other data entry applications.
  • Prepare summaries or reports for management when needed.
  • Maintain structured data sets that support reporting and operational review.
  • Protect confidential information and handle it with care.
  • Adhere to data protection, privacy, and internal compliance rules.
  • Store records securely and maintain high accuracy when working with sensitive information.

Skills and qualifications

  • Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute with 98% accuracy or better.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar spreadsheet software.
  • Working knowledge of databases or CRM systems.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to stay productive while working independently in a remote setup.
  • Sharp attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Good written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.
  • Basic understanding of confidentiality and data privacy practices.
  • Experience with cloud-based collaboration tools is an added advantage.

Technical requirements

  • Stable high-speed internet connection.
  • Personal computer with a current operating system.
  • Quiet, tidy workspace appropriate for remote work.
  • Familiarity with data validation methods, keyboard shortcuts, and spreadsheet workflows.
  • Experience with OCR tools, form-processing software, or automated data capture systems is a plus.
