Role Overview
This position calls for a driven sales leader to head sales for electric trucks and buses within the EV commercial vehicle portfolio. The role is centered on expanding market presence, strengthening customer partnerships, and growing revenue across logistics businesses, fleet operators, and institutional accounts.
The person in this role will help accelerate EV adoption in the commercial vehicle segment while supporting business growth and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the complete sales cycle for electric trucks within the assigned territory and customer segments.
Create new business opportunities with fleet owners, logistics organizations, and institutional buyers.
Deliver against monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
Oversee key accounts and nurture long-term customer relationships.
Track market developments and contribute to go-to-market planning.
Drive solution-based selling that includes charging, financing, and leasing offerings.
Work closely with internal teams such as Product, After Sales, and Finance.
Maintain an accurate sales funnel, along with reporting and forecasting updates.
Qualifications & Experience
The preferred profile includes an MBA or PGDM with a specialization in Sales or Marketing, along with 15 to 20 years of experience in commercial vehicle, EV, or B2B sales. Prior exposure to fleet or institutional selling is important for this role.
Key Skills & Competencies
The ideal candidate should have a solid grasp of the EV and commercial vehicle ecosystem, along with strong consultative selling and negotiation abilities. The role also requires effective stakeholder management, influencing skills, financial understanding for TCO/ROI-led selling, and a strong sense of ownership with an execution-first mindset.
Preferred Experience
Experience in the EV sector, familiarity with logistics and fleet operator customers, and knowledge of EV policy frameworks and charging infrastructure will be valuable.
Location
The position is based in Mumbai, with additional consideration for Delhi NCR, Bangalore, and Bhubaneswar.
