Opportunity Overview
Mission Pet Health is preparing a future opening for a Regional Operations Director and is looking to connect with seasoned operational leaders who are open to senior leadership roles as the company continues expanding its veterinary hospital network.
Role Summary
In this position, you would oversee the performance and overall well-being of a portfolio of veterinary hospitals. The role acts as the bridge between local hospital teams and the wider Mission Pet Health organization, with responsibility for strengthening business outcomes while supporting excellent patient care.
Key Areas of Impact
- Work with the Regional Medical Director to create and sustain a strong, positive, and high-performing culture across the hospitals in your region.
- Coach Hospital Managers and their teams to build future leaders through training, mentorship, and career development.
- Own regional financial performance by managing P&Ls, improving revenue, and increasing operational efficiency.
- Lead non-DVM hiring and workforce planning to make sure each hospital is staffed for success.
- Set expectations for outstanding client service and ensure workflows support a smooth, high-quality experience for pet owners.
What You Need to Bring
The ideal candidate will have a strong history of managing P&L across multiple locations and delivering measurable financial improvement. You should also have experience attracting, developing, and keeping high-performing teams, preferably in a leadership role. Success in this job requires confident leadership, the ability to create accountability and solve problems constructively, and strong communication and conflict resolution skills. Background in multi-site veterinary, healthcare, or customer-focused retail environments is important.
