Role overview
Craft & Art Wine & Spirits is looking for a commercially driven Regional Manager to lead the Central Division. This is a senior field leadership role focused on accelerating sales, strengthening distributor performance, expanding market presence, and guiding team execution across a large multi-state territory. The position reports directly to the President and is based in Chicago, Illinois.
The division covers markets from Texas through the Upper Midwest, and the successful candidate will balance strategic planning with hands-on market execution. The role calls for someone with strong credibility in beverage alcohol, established distributor relationships, and a track record of turning data and market insight into growth.

What you will do
- Drive annual goals for volume, depletion, distribution, and revenue across the Central Division.
- Create and implement business plans that reflect the needs and opportunities of each market.
- Find and win new distribution, menu placements, display opportunities, featured placements, and account growth.
- Review sales results, depletion patterns, and market data to build practical growth actions.
- Lead yearly planning, forecasting, budgeting, and business review cycles.
- Act as the main strategic point of contact for major distributor partners, including Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits, Breakthru Beverage, Johnson Brothers, Reyes Beverage Group, and other wholesalers.
- Run distributor reviews, planning meetings, forecasting discussions, and performance check-ins.
- Spend time in market through visits, ride-withs, and sales blitzes to ensure strong execution.
- Develop productive relationships with distributor leadership, managers, and field sales teams.
- Keep distributor partners accountable for agreed KPIs, programming, and growth targets.
- Use existing relationships and build new ones with key regional retailers and on-premise accounts.
- Secure placements, promotions, displays, and support in both on-premise and off-premise channels.
- Work with National Account teams to make sure chain account programs are executed correctly at the local level.
- Build trusted relationships with buyers, operators, and other decision-makers across the region.
- Lead, coach, and develop Market Managers within the division.
- Set clear goals, expectations, and standards of performance.
- Promote a culture built on accountability, collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Align market priorities, field activity, and resource deployment with company objectives.
- Work closely with supplier partners and internal teams across leadership, National Accounts, Marketing, Operations, and Finance.
- Support launches, pricing changes, promotional programs, and broader portfolio strategy.
- Share market intelligence, including competitor activity, pricing trends, distributor feedback, and consumer insights.
- Represent Craft & Art professionally at industry events, distributor meetings, and supplier engagements.
Qualifications
- At least 7 years of progressive experience in beverage alcohol sales, supplier management, distributor management, or commercial leadership.
- Proven success running multi-state territories and delivering steady sales growth.
- Well-established relationships within the Central U.S. distributor network.
- Demonstrated ability to grow depletion, expand distribution, and execute with consistency.
- Experience managing, coaching, and developing direct reports.
- Strong working knowledge of the three-tier beverage alcohol system.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Analytical strength with the ability to turn data into clear business plans.
- Highly organized and able to juggle several priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Comfort using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CRM or sales reporting tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the region, approximately 40–60% of the time.
- Must be based in Chicago, Illinois.
- Must be 21 years of age or older and have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
