Role overview
This is a senior regional leadership opportunity responsible for the overall success of a large SMB Sales & Account Management programme spanning more than 300 full-time employees across the region. The position is based in Dublin and is described as hybrid.
The Region Lead is expected to create the right conditions for strong revenue performance at scale by reducing friction across the organisation, connecting internal support teams, and ensuring the programme runs as a highly effective commercial operation. Day-to-day delivery ownership sits with a dedicated Operations Lead who acts as the deputy, while this role concentrates on strategic direction, senior client partnership, and commercial governance.
The role is best suited to a senior commercial or client development leader who is comfortable working in complex matrix organisations and engaging with client, operational, and executive stakeholders.
Stakeholder and client leadership
- Serve as the top regional contact for the client leadership team and take accountability for the overall client experience as well as quarterly satisfaction and sentiment outcomes.
- Lead senior-level engagement with both client sales leadership and regional leadership stakeholders.
- Carry out skip-level conversations across operational and functional layers to keep a clear view of programme health and stakeholder sentiment.
- Use wider global capability groups such as transformation, data, AI, PMO, and industry specialists to add value to the client programme.
Operational oversight and enablement
- Design and support an operating model that helps maximise revenue and commercial productivity.
- Coordinate internal support functions including talent acquisition, HR, finance, facilities, and contract/commercial governance so delivery remains smooth.
- Keep staffing, workforce health, and capability alignment at the right level across a large-scale delivery organisation.
- Act as the final regional escalation point for structural or systemic issues affecting performance.
People leadership
- Lead senior operational and functional managers, including the Operations Lead and functional heads.
- Take responsibility for senior hiring decisions, performance management, coaching, and leadership development across the management group.
- Develop and retain a strong leadership pipeline through succession planning and capability building across the region.
- Work closely with the Operations Lead to ensure people strategy is executed effectively at scale.
Commercial and financial governance
- Oversee regional programme performance with central finance partners to ensure delivery stays within agreed commercial and budget limits.
- Review and sign off key financial items such as payroll, incentives, and non-payroll spend.
- Provide governance over commercial documents such as Statements of Work and Change Orders, especially where scope, headcount, or operational impact may change.
Strategic leadership and innovation
- Turn the client’s regional strategy into a unified operational and commercial plan.
- Coach operational leaders on delivery strategy, innovation, and ongoing improvement.
- Spot scalable best practices and share them through global forums and cross-regional groups.
- Represent the region as a senior advocate for innovation and help ensure it benefits from broader organisational capabilities and investments.
Reporting and key relationships
The role reports into senior regional and global leadership stakeholders within a matrixed organisation.
Direct reports include the Operations Lead, who owns daily execution, and three functional leads across core sales and account management areas.
Key working relationships include the client regional leadership counterpart, client sales directors, the wider commercial leadership team, and internal global delivery, capability, and transformation leaders.
