The position requires careful inspection of goods, category-based sorting, safe handling of merchandise, and keeping the work area orderly and compliant with health and safety expectations. The Recycler works closely with supervisors and team members to help meet daily output goals and maintain a smooth, customer-ready operation.
Key Duties

- Check items for quality and condition before they are prepared for store placement or recycling partners.
- Lift, move, and process bags or boxes safely in line with workplace safety practices.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and efficient throughout the shift.
- Follow all health, safety, and operational procedures consistently.
- Coordinate with coworkers and supervisors to support production targets and daily workflow.
Qualifications
- Comfortable working in a busy retail processing setting with repeated tasks and close attention to detail.
- Strong ability to sort, classify, and prioritize items to help meet daily production targets.
- Physically able to stand for long periods and move or lift bags and boxes safely.
- Dependable, on time, and consistent in following procedures and safety rules.
- Good teamwork and communication skills for working respectfully with a varied team and leadership group.
- Experience in retail, warehouse, recycling, or production settings is helpful but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
- Interest in sustainability, reuse, and reducing waste, along with a positive attitude toward the company’s environmental goals.
- Available for varied shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs.
Additional Information
This role supports Talize’s broader mission of sustainability by helping extend the life of usable goods and reducing waste. The workplace is described as friendly and inclusive, with opportunities to build retail-related skills while contributing to both store performance and environmental goals.
