Job description
About the Role
Rarekind is expanding its recruiter team and is looking for a capable consultant to join the Newcastle branch, with a focus on building the Technical recruitment space. The role is based around the Newcastle and Hunter market and offers the chance to help shape a growing, ambitious business with a strong team culture.
The company operates across Newcastle and the Hunter, the Central Coast, Western Sydney, and Brisbane, and is continuing to grow. It describes itself as a high-trust, multi-skilled recruitment business with an emphasis on shared success, collaboration, flexibility, and delivering a strong experience for both clients and candidates.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing the Newcastle and Hunter region by meeting new and existing clients, converting leads, and building a strong presence through local community and networking activity.
- Managing a warm desk of temporary and permanent technical positions across Engineering, IT, and Supply Chain & Logistics, while working closely with local, remote, and executive support.
- Working with leaders and directors to help shape and execute a growth plan for an area the business is actively investing in.
What They’re Looking For
The company is open on experience level, but candidates with a few years of recruitment background will be best positioned to succeed. Prior exposure to technical recruitment will be an advantage. The right person may come from agency recruitment, internal talent acquisition, or even a sales background, provided they enjoy working with people, learning continuously, and contributing to a team-first environment.
This is a good fit for someone who wants more purpose, stronger collaboration, room to influence, and a leader who will support their growth. There is no single profile the company expects; instead, they are looking for someone adaptable, motivated, and confident in building relationships.
Culture, Flexibility, and Benefits
- A bold and ambitious brand with a strong growth story.
- A collaborative team of around 60 people with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
- Extra paid leave for your birthday, work anniversary, and community contribution.
- Quarterly team-based bonuses rather than individual commission.
- Cross-team collaboration and sharing of clients and candidates is encouraged and rewarded.
- Strong support for flexible working arrangements.
- Regular offsite conferences, social trips, and ongoing training and professional development.
- An experienced in-house operations team supporting marketing, personal branding, employee experience, WHS, risk, IR, process, and technology improvements.
Additional Information
Rarekind emphasizes a team-first rewards structure and does not operate on individual commission. Success is shared across the business, and collaboration between teams is actively promoted. The company is building toward a long-term growth plan and wants recruiters who are excited to be part of that journey.
