Job description
Role overview
Amazon is seeking a Recruiter to support the AWS Talent Acquisition organization across EMEA, with a primary focus on Data Centre hiring. This role sits within a fast-moving, high-growth environment where the ability to work with ambiguity, improve processes, and influence hiring outcomes is essential.
The position is part of a wider recruiting team that includes recruiters, sourcers, and recruiting coordinators. The recruiter will contribute to talent attraction, candidate assessment, process optimization, and client partnership for supported groups across EMEA. The role requires a service-led approach, strong collaboration, and the ability to deliver efficient, high-quality recruiting support aligned to internal service expectations.
Amazon Web Services has been providing cloud infrastructure services since 2006, helping customers access compute, storage, and other elastic IT resources on a pay-as-you-go basis. The business continues to grow globally, and this hiring need supports that expansion.
Key responsibilities
- Manage recruiting searches end to end, with particular emphasis on the early pipeline stages such as sourcing, outreach, engagement, and candidate qualification.
- Work closely with recruiters, sourcers, and coordinators to support hiring across EMEA.
- Serve as a client lead for assigned business groups and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, managers, and HR partners.
- Develop and execute recruiting strategies that support employer brand visibility, candidate management, diversity sourcing, and interview coordination.
- Prioritize multiple roles, projects, and stakeholder relationships while meeting timelines and hiring goals.
- Contribute to process improvement and help address operational recruiting challenges in a scalable way.
- Provide timely, customer-focused support that meets service level expectations.
Required experience and qualifications
- Background in both high-volume recruiting and corporate recruiting environments.
- Experience hiring technical talent in competitive markets.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience managing multiple searches, projects, and client relationships.
- Hands-on experience with recruiting strategy execution, including marketplace promotion, candidate handling, diversity sourcing, and interview process management.
Preferred qualifications
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, meet deadlines, and deliver consistently.
- Experience managing projects without close supervision.
- Ability to communicate recruiting outcomes to operations and business leadership.
Work style and environment
The right candidate will be comfortable in an innovative, fast-paced setting, able to act with urgency, manage priorities effectively, and build trusted partnerships across the business. Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a focus on candidate and stakeholder experience are important for success in this role.
Equal opportunity and accommodations
Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and considers applicants without regard to protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Hiring decisions are based on experience and skills. Amazon also maintains a diverse and inclusive culture and provides accommodations or adjustments during the application and hiring process where needed.
If an accommodation is required for the interview or onboarding process, candidates may seek support through the company’s accommodations process.
