About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton, Doha is looking for a Recreation Experience Expert to support pool and recreation operations at its luxury resort in West Bay Lagoon, Doha. This full-time, non-management position sits within the Golf, Fitness, and Entertainment area and is not remote. The property offers a premium guest experience across indoor and outdoor pools, a private beach, a fitness center, restaurants, event spaces, and wellness facilities.

As part of the recreation team, you will help create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for guests while upholding the brand’s Gold Standards and luxury service approach.

Key Duties

  • Act as a primary point of contact for recreation services and activities on the property.
  • Share information with guests about available leisure facilities such as pools, beach areas, game rooms, fitness spaces, and children’s activity areas.
  • Encourage guests to take part in recreation programs, and handle registration and scheduling as needed.
  • Set a relaxed, enjoyable tone while also enforcing facility rules and safety requirements.
  • Watch activity areas closely and respond correctly to incidents or emergencies following local procedures.
  • Provide cashier support in facilities that use point-of-sale transactions.
  • Assist with private events and group activities held in recreation spaces.
  • Identify situations where a guest may not be fit to safely participate in an activity and escalate to a supervisor or manager.
  • Support injured guests until emergency medical help arrives.
  • Keep recreation areas, tools, equipment, and supplies clean and in working order.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training and certifications.
  • Process payments for equipment rentals, recreation activities, facility bookings, and retail items.
  • Use computers and point-of-sale systems to enter and retrieve work-related information.
  • Carry out additional job-related duties when requested.

  • Welcome every guest warmly, respond to service needs quickly, and show appreciation in line with company standards.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members.
  • Build positive working relationships and support team goals.
  • Be prepared for extended standing, walking, sitting, and physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, bending, and moving through confined, uneven, slippery, or elevated areas.
  • Handle objects of different sizes and weights, including items over 25 pounds with assistance.
  • Read information in different formats, inspect equipment visually, and perform work requiring fine motor skills and coordination.

Qualifications

Preferred education is a high school diploma or GED. No previous related work experience is required, and supervisory experience is not needed.

Required certifications or training include CPR, First Aid, Recreation Equipment, and any other license or training required by local or state authorities.
