Job description
Role Overview
ruya bank is seeking a Reconciliation Specialist to manage end-to-end reconciliation work across the full customer journey. The position calls for practical experience in banking reconciliation and a solid understanding of account-level financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine daily reconciliations across bank accounts, including cash, deposits, withdrawals, transit balances, suspense items, and card settlement accounts.
- Review financial information to spot mismatches and differences between internal ledgers and external records.
- Work with internal teams and outside counterparties to investigate issues and bring discrepancies to resolution.
- Keep reconciliation activity well documented with accurate records that can support audit and review requirements.
- Create and refine procedures that make reconciliation work more efficient and effective.
- Stay current on applicable regulations and accepted industry practices relating to financial reconciliation.
- Maintain clear communication with both internal stakeholders and external contacts.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related discipline.
- Prior exposure to reconciliation or accounting functions within a banking environment.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- High attention to detail and accuracy when working with data.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, banking platforms, and related software tools.
- Good written and verbal communication along with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform independently while also contributing effectively in a team setting in a fast-moving work environment.

This is a full-time onsite role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The opportunity involves supporting reconciliation operations throughout the customer lifecycle and requires comfort working in a banking setting with multiple internal and external touchpoints.
