Role Summary

The Real Estate Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of properties, including operations, upkeep, leasing, and financial outcomes. The role is focused on improving property value and profitability while also protecting tenant experience and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead property acquisition and real estate expansion activities for retail projects.
  • Handle a portfolio of multiple properties simultaneously.
  • Identify suitable sites and spaces based on brand requirements.
  • Negotiate commercial terms with landlords and property owners.
  • Assess the viability of potential locations before moving ahead.
  • Coordinate solution discussions among technical, project, business, and finance teams.
  • Own the full cycle of business expansion, including property acquisition and leasing.
  • Manage site selection, internal approvals, due diligence, feasibility analysis, negotiations, and final closure of deals.
  • Take charge of landlord relationship management, complaint resolution, dispute handling, and final settlement of closed sites.
  • Keep the real estate database updated and prepare approval presentations for senior leadership before project launch, ensuring all site criteria and specifications are reviewed.
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of property consultants, brokers, and developers for sourcing retail space.
  • Work closely with teams across functions to support expansion goals.

Experience and Skills

  • At least 9 to 12 years of relevant experience is expected.
  • Strong understanding of real estate transactions is required.
  • Willingness to travel extensively is important.
  • Good interpersonal abilities and a collaborative approach are needed for cross-functional work.
  • Proven ability to deliver results in challenging and complex situations.
  • Comfort with adapting to a delivery-focused strategy.
  • Ability to maintain active relationships with external service providers.
  • Positive mindset and openness to new ideas and new ways of working are essential.
