Job description
Job purpose
The Quality Officer will work under the Quality Manager, while also maintaining a dotted-line reporting link to the Farming Operations Manager. The role is focused on helping roll out and maintain the company’s Quality Management System across all farming activities, with full attention to internal procedures, customer expectations, certification requirements, and relevant legal or regulatory obligations.
This position partners closely with operational teams to strengthen quality awareness, track adherence to standards, spot areas that need improvement, and support the implementation of corrective and preventive measures. It also acts as an important point of contact for external auditors, certification organizations, suppliers, and other stakeholders on quality-related issues.
The incumbent will monitor quality results, prepare updates, and flag risks, non-compliances, and improvement opportunities to the Quality Manager and Farming Operations Manager. In addition, the Quality Officer contributes to action planning and follows through on initiatives that drive continuous improvement across all farming production sites.
Knowledge, skills and experience required
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Food Science, or a closely related discipline. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality management is required, ideally gained in poultry, livestock, agriculture, or food production environments.
Strong familiarity with quality systems, audit processes, and certification frameworks such as GlobalG.A.P., HACCP, ISO 22000, or similar standards is expected. The role also calls for strong planning, analysis, and problem-solving abilities, along with solid computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and the ability to prepare clear reports.
Good communication and coordination skills are essential, especially when working with auditors and operational teams. A valid driving license is also required.
