About the Role

Cairn invites applications for a Quality Control Site Supervisor position within its expanding team, based in Dublin. This role operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and focuses on ensuring compliance and quality standards across all live operational sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily site inspections at Cairn Homes projects to identify and document compliance or defect-related issues.
  • Lead and support investigations into non-conformances and corrective measures diligently.
  • Ensure adherence to BCAR compliance, advocating a quality-first culture throughout the company.
  • Maintain comprehensive reports and audits using the company’s construction software platform.
  • Continuously enhance quality assurance expertise to support staff training, knowledge sharing, BCAR compliance, and best practices.
  • Ensure all quality procedures are effectively documented and implemented within sites and departments.
  • Collaborate closely with various teams including Project and Site Managers to foster strong working relationships.
  • Assist in the continual development and review of Quality Systems aligned with customer and business needs.
  • Promote a team environment focused on continuous quality improvements and participate in staff training initiatives.
  • Mentor and encourage skill development to nurture a positive quality-centered workplace culture.
  • Oversee internal audits, customer complaint management, and periodic product reviews efficiently.
  • Ensure confidentiality and full compliance with the Data Protection Act across all company activities and personnel.
  • Adhere strictly to all legal and regulatory requirements and implement relevant best practice standards.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Candidate Profile

  • Trade qualification with necessary certifications.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar supervisory quality control role.
  • In-depth understanding of construction details, ensuring alignment with design and specifications.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with personnel at various levels.
  • Previous experience working on large-scale residential construction projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current building regulations and certification standards.
  • Detail-oriented, methodical thinker with a proactive and inquisitive approach to quality challenges.
  • Team player with self-motivation and the ability to work independently when required.
  • Willingness to travel nationwide to Cairn project sites and possession of a valid full driving license.
  • Familiarity with mobile devices for defect recording and reporting is advantageous.
