Job description
Role overview
As a QC Inspector at Suitsupply, you will be based full-time inside a production facility and act as the main quality checkpoint on the factory floor. Your focus will be on carrying out final random inspections of all active production styles so that every garment clears the brand’s quality standards before it is shipped out. The position is part of the Phase 1 setup, where one inspector is assigned to each factory to gain a detailed understanding of that site’s processes and quality trends over time.
You will work closely with factory inspectors and technicians to create a trusted working relationship that helps strengthen quality performance and support continuous improvement.
What you will be responsible for
- Conduct final random inspections on finished products at Stage 5 using AQL sampling requirements and Suitsupply’s inspection guidelines.
- Check garments against approved pre-production samples, technical packs, and workmanship expectations.
- Identify, classify, and record defects accurately as critical, major, or minor, including photographic proof.
- Review factory in-line QC reports to improve visibility and spot risks early at Stage 4.
- Share inspection outcomes with factory leadership and ensure corrective actions are followed through.
- Prepare and submit recurring inspection updates to the regional QC Manager.
- Support Stage 7 by logging defects accurately for factory scorecard reporting.
- Develop strong collaboration with production and quality teams at the factory.
- Escalate recurring quality problems or production concerns to the QC Manager without delay.
- Contribute to Phase 2 capability-building efforts within the factory over time.
- Cross-check AQL findings against the factory’s own AQL outcomes and highlight any mismatch.
- Monitor AQL and factory performance regularly and support improvement actions, such as reducing rework through stronger in-line technical support.
- Help with bulk fabric checks and report concerns like colour variation or shading.
What we’re looking for
- At least 2 years of experience in garment quality inspection, preferably in menswear, tailoring, or shirts.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, common defect categories, and AQL inspection methods.
- Ability to interpret technical packs and product specifications accurately.
- Comfortable writing and speaking in English for reporting to the regional QC Manager.
- Ability to use the local language relevant to the factory location.
- Self-driven, dependable, and capable of working independently with limited oversight.
- A careful and consistent eye for garment quality and workmanship.
- Fair and objective judgment when assessing defects, even under factory pressure.
- Strong documentation and reporting accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively with factory personnel while maintaining professional independence.
- Disciplined, accountable, and able to manage responsibilities on your own.
Benefits and rewards
- Autonomy: You will be trusted to own your work, make decisions, and create impact without excessive approval layers.
- Development: The company offers strong learning and growth opportunities in a supportive environment.
- Performance bonus: A bonus is available and linked to productivity and results.
- Sustainability and ethics: The business works only with suppliers that meet high standards aligned with the International Labour Organization.
- Product discount: Enjoy a 40% discount on Suitsupply products.
