From its Minto, NSW facility, the business supports brands across Australia and overseas with end-to-end manufacturing services, including product development, scale-up, production, quality assurance, compliance, and supply chain support.
The company is expanding quickly and places strong emphasis on operational performance, food safety, ongoing improvement, and consistently high product standards.
Role Overview
This is a full-time, site-based Quality Assurance Manager position in Minto, New South Wales. The role is responsible for leading and continuously strengthening the site’s Quality Management System so that products meet customer specifications, food safety standards, and regulatory obligations.
You will oversee core food safety and quality programs such as HACCP, GMP, environmental monitoring, allergen controls, supplier approvals, traceability, corrective actions, and audit preparation. The position works closely with Production, Operations, Procurement, Product Development, and senior leadership to strengthen compliance, improve product quality, and support a strong food safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
The role includes managing customer and certification audits, investigating quality issues, identifying root causes, putting corrective and preventive actions in place, tracking quality performance, and helping the business grow its manufacturing capability.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should bring solid experience in food safety and quality systems, particularly HACCP, GMP, SQF, FSANZ standards, and related regulatory requirements. Background in building, rolling out, and maintaining Quality Management Systems in a food manufacturing setting is important.
You should also have hands-on experience with certification, customer, regulatory, and internal audits, along with strong capability in investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action management. Experience in supplier quality, risk assessment, validation, verification, traceability, document control, change management, and audit readiness is also expected.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, leadership, and communication skills are needed, along with experience training, coaching, and influencing teams at different levels of the organisation.
A bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Quality Management, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent industry experience will also be considered. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Quality Assurance or Food Safety leadership role within FMCG or food manufacturing is required. Experience in private-label, contract manufacturing, or high-volume food production will be an advantage.
Why Join
Join a fast-growing Australian manufacturing business and take ownership of quality and food safety across a varied product range and multiple customer brands. You will work closely with senior leadership, contribute to system and process improvement, and play an important role in sustaining and advancing SQF certification and customer compliance programs.
The role offers the chance to be part of an ambitious business with modern manufacturing capability, strong accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
