Role overview
McIvor Plumbers & Gasfitters, a well-regarded plumbing and gasfitting business in Wanaka, is seeking an experienced Senior Plumber / Gasfitter / Drainlayer to join its close-knit team. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Wanaka, Otago, New Zealand, offering competitive pay that aligns with your skill level and the standard of your workmanship.
The role covers a broad mix of residential and commercial work in a highly desirable part of New Zealand. The team is looking for a tradesperson who takes pride in quality results, works safely, and can contribute to a supportive crew delivering dependable service.
Key duties
- Install plumbing and gas systems for both homes and commercial sites.
- Complete pipework and drainage tasks accurately and carefully.
- Identify faults in systems and provide effective, high-standard repairs or solutions.
- Perform gas certification and compliance-related work.
- Communicate with clients in a clear, professional manner throughout each job.
- Work alongside the team on new builds, renovation projects, and urgent repair callouts.

- Current PDGB qualifications in plumbing, gasfitting, and/or drainlaying.
- Demonstrated experience working on both residential and commercial projects.
