Role Overview

As a Quality Control Chemist, you will be an integral member of the QC team responsible for analyzing all finished pharmaceutical products according to cGxP standards. This position operates in a rotating shift schedule: one week from 7am to 3pm and the next from 3pm to 11pm.

Key Duties

  • Conduct timely and precise testing of raw materials, packaging, finished products, and stability samples, emphasizing finished product analysis.
  • Assist with daily Quality Control laboratory operations and related activities.
  • Prepare and review laboratory documentation as needed.
  • Maintain strict adherence to GMP guidelines, company SOPs, regulatory, safety, and environmental protocols.
  • Engage in continuous improvement efforts to optimize laboratory processes.
  • Provide support during internal, customer, and regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Participate in investigations concerning laboratory deviations, out-of-specification results, and incidents.
  • Create, evaluate, and manage controlled documents within the document management system.
  • Observe and comply with site Health & Safety regulations, including hazard identification and reporting.

Candidate Profile

  • Holds an honours degree or higher in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field.
  • Has at least two years of experience performing HPLC testing within a Quality Control laboratory setting.
  • Demonstrates experience working in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment.
