Role overview

The QA Tester / Quality Assurance Analyst is accountable for checking that software applications and digital products work correctly, perform reliably, and meet expected quality standards. This position supports the broader development process by uncovering defects, confirming requirements, and helping teams deliver dependable solutions with a strong user experience.

The role includes reviewing business and functional specifications, creating test plans, and carrying out thorough testing to confirm that features behave as intended. The QA Tester / Quality Assurance Analyst partners with developers, product owners, business stakeholders, and project teams to keep quality in focus at every stage of delivery.

Core duties

Key responsibilities include building and running manual test cases, recording outcomes, reporting defects, and following issues through to closure. The role checks functionality, usability, compatibility, performance, and overall system behavior across different devices, platforms, and environments.

The position also contributes to requirement reviews, risk analysis, and QA planning. This involves studying specifications, spotting possible test scenarios, and making sure both new features and existing functions receive broad test coverage.

In addition, the QA Tester / Quality Assurance Analyst supports regression testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, and release checks. These activities help ensure that software releases are ready for deployment and aligned with business expectations.

Documentation and collaboration

The role requires careful maintenance of test cases, test results, defect logs, and quality metrics. Clear communication is important when working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and when sharing feedback about product quality and testing results.

Success factors
