Quality assurance leadership
- Direct, coach, and support a QA team of roughly five engineers spread across multiple locations and time zones.
- Create and maintain QA approaches, standards, workflows, and best practices.
- Encourage quality-first thinking throughout the full software development lifecycle.
- Carry out regular performance feedback, coaching discussions, and career growth planning for team members.
- Oversee team bandwidth, day-to-day workload distribution, and resource planning.
Essential requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in QA leadership, including direct people management.
- Proven experience managing a team of about five people, whether co-located, remote, or internationally distributed.
- Strong practical knowledge of software QA and testing approaches.
- Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Ability to build and run test strategies and detailed test plans.
- Experience with test automation tools, frameworks, and automated testing methods.
- Solid understanding of defect tracking and quality reporting metrics.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities.
- Comfort managing shifting priorities in a demanding, fast-moving setting.
