Role overview

We are hiring an experienced QA Lead to join a growing technology organization in Dublin. The position focuses on guiding quality assurance across several aviation-focused software products and services, helping deliver dependable, secure, and high-quality solutions that support important business and operational needs.

The right person will bring deep QA expertise together with strong team leadership experience. You will oversee a team of around five QA professionals working across different locations and time zones. The job follows a hybrid setup, offering a blend of office-based collaboration and remote working flexibility.

Quality assurance leadership

  • Direct, coach, and support a QA team of roughly five engineers spread across multiple locations and time zones.
  • Create and maintain QA approaches, standards, workflows, and best practices.
  • Encourage quality-first thinking throughout the full software development lifecycle.
  • Carry out regular performance feedback, coaching discussions, and career growth planning for team members.
  • Oversee team bandwidth, day-to-day workload distribution, and resource planning.

Essential requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in QA leadership, including direct people management.
  • Proven experience managing a team of about five people, whether co-located, remote, or internationally distributed.
  • Strong practical knowledge of software QA and testing approaches.
  • Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
  • Ability to build and run test strategies and detailed test plans.
  • Experience with test automation tools, frameworks, and automated testing methods.
  • Solid understanding of defect tracking and quality reporting metrics.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities.
  • Comfort managing shifting priorities in a demanding, fast-moving setting.
