Role Overview
The Purchaser will be responsible for valuing vehicles for listing on the dubizzle platform. Since dubizzle is the UAE’s largest used car classifieds website, this role plays a key part in creating new listings, growing inventory, and supporting sales performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will assess vehicles, negotiate pricing with customers, and help ensure cars are bought and listed within target margins and inventory goals.
- Evaluate a wide range of vehicles and determine pricing within dubizzle Pro guidelines.
- Negotiate with customers to arrive at effective car prices and support a smooth sale with strong margin outcomes.
- Purchase vehicles that meet the defined criteria.
- Set pricing for managed service vehicles so they remain competitive in the market.
- Work toward a healthy profit margin of 10%.
- Keep stock levels healthy with an average time in inventory of 30 days.
- Meet monthly targets and margin goals across managed and auction channels.
- Conduct outbound calls to generate new branch sign-ups.
- Adjust vehicle prices based on factors such as mileage, colour, warranty/service history, engine, specifications, and overall condition.
- Accurately enter customer and vehicle details into Salesforce CRM to keep databases updated.
- Develop and sustain customer relationships to encourage repeat and future business.
- Manage the customer journey from meet-and-greet through handover to improve the overall experience.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid UAE driving licence.
- At least 2 years of experience in the automotive sector.
- Prior use of CRM software or apps is preferred, especially Salesforce.
- Proven success in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of the used car market.
- Deep knowledge of different makes, models, and GCC vehicle specifications.
- Excellent negotiation and leadership abilities.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills for professional interaction in person, by email, and over the phone.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks, prioritise work, and manage time efficiently.
- Well-presented with a professional attitude.
- Capable of working effectively as part of a team.
