About the Role

Perowne International is hiring an Account Coordinator to join its expanding public relations team in New York City. The position supports luxury travel clients and is designed as an entry-level path for recent graduates who want to build a career in PR.

What You’ll Do

You will work closely with client teams, handle incoming requests, track media coverage and social activity, pitch stories to media contacts, and help deliver PR plans alongside senior team members.

Account Management

  • Prepare weekly and monthly media clip books.
  • Put together flash updates and status reports.
  • Draft meeting agendas and participate in ongoing client meetings.
  • Join media events when directed by the Account Supervisor.
  • Show a solid working understanding of social media platforms.

Client Activities

  • Serve as a daily point of contact for clients.
  • Handle client requests with approval from the Account Supervisor.
  • Keep client communication timely, proactive, and relevant.
  • Take part in client meetings and contribute ideas.

Media Activities

  • Carry out both proactive and reactive media outreach.
  • Schedule media meetings for clients and the agency.
  • Write press releases and pitch materials.
  • Build accurate, targeted media lists for releases and pitches.
  • Arrange travel and lodging for press trips.
  • Attend press trips as needed.

Agency Responsibilities

  • Attend staff meetings and share constructive input.
  • Take part in agency brainstorming sessions.
  • Represent the agency at client, media, and industry meetings or events.
  • Support new business pitch efforts.
  • Bring energy to the team and help maintain a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related discipline is required. Candidates should have either relevant internship experience or about 1 year of experience in public relations, preferably in an agency environment.

Working Schedule

The team works in the office on a hybrid arrangement, with three in-office days each week.
