About the Role
Grey Eagle Resort & Casino is hiring a Public Area Houseperson for its event centre in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The position is based on the Tsuut’ina First Nation and is part of a busy, energetic entertainment environment. What You’ll Do
This role focuses on housekeeping duties across the event centre and nearby public spaces. You’ll help keep guest-facing and staff areas clean, tidy, and welcoming while representing the venue in a positive, courteous manner. You’ll also respond to issues or special requests as they come up and make sure work is completed in line with safety rules, company procedures, and quality expectations.
Work Areas
The cleaning duties cover public spaces, washrooms, employee areas, administrative offices, and other assigned locations within the property.
Education and Experience
A high school diploma or an equivalent work-related background is needed. Previous cleaning experience of at least 2 years is preferred. Experience with carpet and window cleaning would be considered an advantage.
Skills and Abilities
The position can involve physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs and repeated movement. You should be comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-moving setting where priorities can shift quickly. The job also calls for strong attention to detail, accountability, the ability to work with a team or independently, and a readiness to handle shift work on days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. WHIMIS knowledge and biohazard cleanup experience are additional assets.
