Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB) is seeking a motivated Protection Specialist to join its Portsmouth-based team. This is a full-time opportunity that can be structured as either employed or self-employed, with remote or hybrid working options available. The position offers competitive earning potential, with expected on-target earnings in the region of £60,000 to £70,000, plus uncapped commission.
What you will do
- Advise clients on a broad range of protection solutions such as life cover, critical illness cover, income protection, and family income benefit.
- Partner with mortgage advisers and customers to assess needs and recommend suitable protection options.
- Deliver advice that meets compliance requirements and aligns with MAB’s standards.
- Develop strong client relationships through trust, service quality, and ongoing support.

What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will already have experience in protection advice, with at least one year preferred. You should have strong product knowledge, a sound understanding of the current protection market, and a clear commitment to ethical client outcomes. Excellent communication, active listening, and relationship-building skills are also important. A CeMAP or equivalent protection-related qualification, such as RO5, is required.
