Project Research & Due Diligence

About the role

This position sits within Binance Research, a highly regarded research function in the crypto industry. The role focuses on evaluating crypto projects and adjacent market structures, with exposure to both digital assets and traditional finance themes. You will collaborate with research colleagues as well as teams such as Data Analytics and Marketing, and may own coverage for a specific crypto sector depending on your background and experience.

What you will do

• Carry out detailed research into crypto projects across multiple sectors.
• Prepare thorough project write-ups and risk reviews that explain each project’s fundamentals and potential downsides.
• Review, compare, and combine insights from different sources, including internal datasets and public blockchain records.
• Assist with evaluating TradFi-oriented products and market structures, especially where conventional finance or real-world assets connect with crypto and tokenization.
• Speak with project teams and industry participants to collect relevant context and insights.
• Track market movements and project developments carefully, with a strong eye for detail.
• Keep up with industry trends, new opportunities, risks, and emerging projects, showing genuine enthusiasm for the crypto space.

What we are looking for

• Background in crypto/blockchain businesses, venture capital research, or traditional finance such as investment banking, asset management, or capital markets.
• Comfort working with on-chain data tools and interpreting blockchain activity.
• Strong analytical ability and solid understanding of blockchain technology, tokenomics, and crypto market behavior.
• Capability to assess new product designs at the intersection of crypto and traditional finance.
• Clear communication skills, both in writing and speaking, with the ability to explain complex ideas simply.
• Self-motivated approach, strong ownership, and a proactive mindset.
• Ability to stay effective in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment.
• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• CFA qualification is considered an advantage.
