Job description

About the Role

Space/Craft Worldwide is looking for a Project Manager who can lead complex luxury retail and visual merchandising assignments from initial brief through to final delivery. This position sits at the center of a busy international production setup where creative direction, engineering, fabrication, and execution must all work together to deliver premium brand experiences.

Job Overview

You will oversee multiple production and visual merchandising manufacturing projects, making sure each one is completed on schedule, within the approved budget, and to a high standard of quality. The role calls for solid experience in visual merchandising production, retail fit-outs, signage, custom fabrication, or exhibition manufacturing, along with the ability to coordinate effectively across clients, design teams, suppliers, and internal production departments.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who works well in a fast-moving production environment and understands the demands of luxury retail brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects throughout the full cycle, from briefing and planning to shipping and completion.
  • Liaise with clients, designers, production staff, vendors, and installation teams to keep work aligned.
  • Build project schedules, delivery plans, budgets, and staffing/resource plans.
  • Track production progress closely and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Follow up regularly with carpentry, metal, acrylic, painting, printing, and logistics teams.
  • Ensure every deliverable matches luxury-grade quality expectations and client requirements.
  • Manage project costing, purchasing coordination, and budget oversight.
  • Work with subcontractors, suppliers, and outside fabrication partners.
  • Spot project risks early and put practical solutions in place.
  • Prepare status reports and share updates with leadership and clients.
  • Coordinate on-site installations and help ensure smooth delivery at the project location.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, operational, and quality standards.
  • Build strong client relationships and help identify future business opportunities.

Experience and Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience in visual merchandising production, retail fit-outs, signage manufacturing, exhibition and event production, or luxury furniture/fixture manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated success managing several fast-paced production projects at the same time.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production coordination.
  • Background working with luxury retail or premium international brands is preferred.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and leadership capabilities.
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and production documents.
  • Experience with budgeting, purchasing, and production scheduling.
  • Comfortable using project management software and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Able to perform under pressure and handle demanding timelines.
  • Fluency in English is required; Spanish is preferred.

Why Join Us

  • Take ownership of high-profile luxury retail and visual merchandising projects.
  • Work with international brands and premium clients.
  • Gain exposure to the full manufacturing and installation process.
  • Manage large-scale, high-value assignments.
  • Enjoy a dynamic environment with quick decisions and real responsibility.
  • Collaborate with experienced teams across design, production, fabrication, and operations.
  • Potential to grow into senior operations and leadership roles.
  • Work across a wide variety of project types, including retail fixtures, window displays, pop-ups, experiential activations, signage, and custom fabrication.
  • Be part of a culture focused on innovation, execution, operational excellence, and strong performance.
