The Project Manager will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of projects from start to finish. This position involves leading the rollout of small to large-scale initiatives while working closely with internal teams, external partners, and other key stakeholders. The role uses the department’s processes and tools to support strong project design, deployment, and execution across the full project lifecycle, with an emphasis on delivering the expected business benefits and operational outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee and carry out projects under the direction of the Senior Project Manager and the Project Delivery Lead Management, ensuring completion on schedule, within budget, and in line with agreed objectives and quality expectations.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, while tracking progress regularly and responding to issues, risks, and changes as they occur.
  • Partner with the Director Project Delivery Lead Management to define project milestones, objectives, and deliverables, and establish a structure for monitoring and reporting performance.
  • Work with project team members to identify process improvements that strengthen delivery efficiency, reduce risks, and improve overall outcomes.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments within the Centre of Excellence (COE) to keep project work aligned with wider business goals.
  • Encourage clear communication and teamwork across stakeholders and project members so all parties remain aligned on goals, deliverables, and project status.
  • Apply strong quality assurance practices so that project outputs meet or exceed required standards and client expectations.
  • Carry out routine project audits to check compliance with quality requirements and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Spot risks, issues, and changes early and work with Project Delivery Teams to build practical contingency and mitigation actions.
  • Manage project resources effectively, including people, budget, and equipment, to support efficient delivery and best use of available resources.
  • Keep complete project records, including plans, status updates, logs, and lessons learned, in accordance with company standards.
  • Share regular project updates and reports with the Director Project Delivery Lead Management, Chief Operational Excellence Officer, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Suggest training and development needs for team members to help build capability.
  • Support ongoing improvements to systems, processes, and working practices that can boost productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Follow all department policies, procedures, instructions, and standards to ensure work is completed in a controlled and consistent way.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports that meet departmental requirements, policies, and standards.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized and accredited university is mandatory.
  • A master’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a similar field from a recognized and accredited university is preferred.
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification is required.
  • Strong spoken and written business English skills are needed.
  • At least 7 years of experience in project management or a related role, preferably in supply chain industries, with exposure to planning, execution, delivery, and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience in project management functions such as planning, delivery, execution, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience working with senior leaders and cross-functional internal teams is necessary.
  • Background in one or more of the following is expected: PMP-style project controls, PRINCE2, risk and change management, or structured governance and reporting.
