Role Summary
As a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager, you will coordinate closely with internal cross-functional teams, external vendors, partners, and customers to deliver project outcomes. The role involves planning and tracking schedules, scope, resources, and overall project health.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers, internal teams, and external vendors to launch projects, define objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, cost, payment milestones, and create a full project management plan.
- Build and guide the project team, and lead execution throughout the project lifecycle.
- Encourage teamwork through productive meetings, clear communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution while clearing blockers from internal and external parties. You may also work with international teams across regions when needed.
- Spot risks early, assess their likely impact, and put mitigation measures in place.
- Set project budgets, monitor expenditure, and make adjustments to keep work financially controlled while maintaining efficiency.
- Keep communication open and transparent with clients and stakeholders, and provide regular progress reports to both external stakeholders and the internal PMO office.
- Handle client expectations effectively.
- Apply quality checks so deliverables meet agreed standards and client needs, and review team outputs before sending them to clients.
- Take care of day-to-day project operations and any ad hoc tasks that arise.
What We’re Looking For
We value agility, enthusiasm, and a team-oriented mindset, along with people who bring new ideas, are eager to learn, and want room to grow professionally. A strong fit for this role will combine initiative, technology interest, and the ability to contribute to customers, partners, and colleagues.
Qualifications and Experience
- A valid PMP certification or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification with an active serial number is required. CSM and CSPO certifications are a plus.
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Project Management, General Management, Business Administration, Business Analytics, or a closely related area is needed.
- At least 3 years of project management experience is required for the Project Manager level, while the Senior Project Manager level requires at least 8 years.
- Hands-on exposure to software development lifecycles and both waterfall and agile methods is expected.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to learn quickly and a genuine interest in technology.
- Broad understanding of Microsoft technologies, application programming, database concepts, and system design is beneficial.
- Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Confluence is expected.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office is required.
- You should be self-driven, capable of leading enterprise IT software implementation work, and confident in driving execution.
- A sharp eye for detail and the ability to anticipate risks or roadblocks are important.
- Comfortable working collaboratively in team settings.
- Proven ability to manage priorities and different personalities within cross-functional teams.
- Ability to read and speak Mandarin Chinese or Vietnamese would be an advantage.
- Experience from a software vendor or system integration services background would also be an advantage.
