Overview

An established international project and cost consultancy is seeking a seasoned Project Director to help lead and grow its German operations. Based in Frankfurt, this senior position reports to the Managing Director and offers a chance to shape business direction, strengthen client relationships, and drive expansion across Germany.

The business is particularly strong in industrial and logistics projects, covering the full development lifecycle. As part of its growth strategy, it also aims to broaden its footprint into data centres, commercial real estate, and other major development sectors.

Location: Frankfurt, Germany

Salary: €150,000 to €180,000 annually, plus bonus and package, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business development efforts and convert opportunities into new work with current and potential clients.
  • Develop durable partnerships with developers, investors, occupiers, and other important market stakeholders.
  • Manage, coach, and support a growing team of Project Managers, including involvement in recruitment and wider growth plans.
  • Provide senior input into the German business strategy and work closely with the Managing Director on planning and operational priorities.
  • Serve as Project Director on selected major schemes, overseeing programme delivery, commercial outcomes, quality standards, and client satisfaction.
  • Take charge of bids, fee submissions, presentations, and other work-winning activities.
  • Handle client expectations carefully and maintain a consistently high service standard across multiple projects.
  • Promote continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and best-practice delivery across the organisation.
  • Represent the company at networking events, industry functions, and client meetings to build its market profile.

Candidate Requirements

  • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a closely related field.
  • Extensive experience delivering large industrial, logistics, commercial, or infrastructure projects in Germany.
  • Proven capability in leading and developing strong project teams.
  • A solid record of business development, relationship building, and securing new assignments.
  • Broad understanding of end-to-end project delivery within the construction lifecycle.
  • Strong commercial judgement, including oversight of project finances and strategic planning.
  • Good knowledge of German construction law, procurement approaches, and delivery methods.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Fluency in both German and English is mandatory.
