About the Role
Check Point Software Technologies is looking for a Professional Services Consultant to join its global cybersecurity team. In this position, you will help customers solve complex security challenges, support service delivery, and contribute to a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement. The role is suited to someone who enjoys working with clients, leading operational activity, and collaborating in a fast-moving, remote-friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to understand their challenges and recommend suitable Check Point solutions.
- Serve as a lead point of contact in the customer’s security operations center, handling daily operations, troubleshooting, escalation management, maintenance, and upgrade work.
- Design practical security solutions that align with industry standards and the customer’s goals.
- Act as a team lead and subject matter expert for network operations engineers, sharing best practices, supporting escalations, and encouraging strong operational performance.
- Oversee the deployment of Check Point solutions, including both remote and on-site implementations.
- Deliver training to customers and their teams so they can use the solutions effectively.
- Investigate and resolve difficult technical problems.
- Build trusted customer relationships and provide responsive support throughout engagement.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project and operational documentation such as runbooks, network diagrams, configuration records, and methods of procedure.
- Keep up to date with cybersecurity developments and Check Point products while promoting team growth and operational excellence.
- Work across teams and functions to help ensure customer success.
- Travel within the region when required. For this role, the expectation is to be onsite at the customer’s Dublin office 2 to 3 days per week.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Check Point products.
- At least 8 years of experience in IP-based networks, network design, and security products.
- Solid operational background, with SOC experience preferred.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP and cybersecurity principles.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including routing, switching, and load balancing, as well as security technologies such as firewall, VPN, IPS, antivirus, and application control.
- Working knowledge of Linux command-line tools is preferred.
- Experience with VSX, MDSM, and scalable platforms is preferred.
- Experience with Maestro Orchestrator is preferred.
- Customer-focused with post-sales experience and direct in-person client interaction.
- Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and adapt to change.
- Skilled at explaining complex technical ideas in simple terms for non-technical audiences.
- Capable of working independently and mentoring other team members.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
