Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day production operations for electrical and control panel manufacturing. This role focuses on keeping output on schedule, maintaining quality standards, supporting workplace safety, and making sure the team works efficiently and effectively.
Team Leadership
- Guide and coordinate the production workforce to keep operations running smoothly.
- Track technician performance and provide practical coaching and support where needed.
- Organize work allocations and ensure the line is staffed appropriately for each shift.
Production Oversight
- Monitor the full production flow so targets and deadlines are consistently achieved.
- Adjust job priorities and workload distribution based on the production plan.
- Make sure all activities follow company procedures and internal standards.
- Prepare equipment labels and device tags.
- Prepare wiring ferrules as required for production.
- Oversee maintenance of production machines and keep proper maintenance records.
Quality Control
- Maintain a strong focus on product quality throughout the production process.
- Work closely with the QC team on inspections, quality checks, and punch-list closure.
- Resolve quality concerns and support corrective actions in coordination with QC.
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure all work follows health and safety regulations.
- Encourage a safe working culture and enforce safety rules on the floor.
- Lead periodic safety discussions and training sessions for the team.
Process Improvement and Reporting
- Look for ways to improve efficiency and streamline production methods.
- Support management in developing and executing production strategies.
- Review production data and prepare performance reports.
Materials and Equipment Management
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement to avoid material shortages.
- Keep tools, equipment, and machinery in good operating condition.
- Arrange maintenance and repair work whenever needed.
Experience Required
Candidates should bring more than 5 years of experience in a production environment, along with a solid background in supervising production teams, managing schedules, meeting output targets, and coordinating maintenance or repair work.
