Role overview

Marley, part of Marshalls plc, is hiring a Production Cleaner for the night shift at its Burton upon Trent site. The position is a permanent nights role for someone with industrial cleaning experience in a manufacturing or plant setting.

Working pattern and pay

This is a 45-hour week role, worked Monday to Friday from 9:00pm to 6:00am. The salary is £41,010.52 per year, plus benefits.

What the job involves

You will be responsible for keeping designated production areas and selected machinery spotless to a high standard, helping the site hit daily production and quality goals while reducing the risk of downtime. The work includes cleaning specialist equipment such as mixers and conveyors, using practical knowledge of how a plant operates. A strong focus on health and safety is essential, along with the ability to quickly identify and report any production concerns.

The role also calls for a flexible attitude to working needs so production cover can be maintained. This may include forklift truck driving, front-loading shovel operation, and general housekeeping duties.

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment, plus prior exposure to industrial cleaning. Experience operating a forklift truck and a front-loading shovel is also important. You should be adaptable, comfortable working as part of a team, open to additional training, and knowledgeable about workplace health and safety.
